Tips for Buyers

As a buyer, it is important that you choose an agent who will act in your best interests. An agent's role is to:

  • Find potential homes according to your wants, needs, and budget;

  • Respond to all of your questions in a timely manner;

  • Competently negotiate on your behalf so you get the best deal possible; and

  • Have ongoing communication with you so you stay informed of the entire process.

Expedite the Buying Process

White Credit Card

Polish your
Credit Score

When you are preparing to buy a home, it is best not to make any major purchases (e.g. new car) because it diverts your money away from the home loan and toward this new debt. Reduce your debt to raise your credit score and preserve it throughout the escrow process; the lender will be checking your score!

Get
Pre-Approved

In today's market, you gain the competitive advantage by being pre-approved by a legitimate lender, which means you filled out the loan application, had your credit history reviewed, and employment info, etc. verified. The pre-approval letter sets forth the maximum loan amount you are qualified to receive.

Meeting

Actively
Participate

As a buyer, you are entitled to know the condition of the property. Order a professional home inspection and be present so you can have the opportunity to ask questions. Kyla will carefully review the home inspector's report and resolve any questions or concerns you may have about the inspector's findings.
